Dr. Wayne Solomon is Vice President of the Magnetic Fusion Energy Division at General Atomics and a leading expert in magnetic fusion energy. He earned his PhD from Australian National University in 2002, worked at Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory for over a decade, and later served in senior leadership roles for the DIII-D National Fusion Program. His research has focused on plasma diagnostics, momentum transport, pedestal physics, and operational scenario development, and he has also helped shape U.S. fusion strategy through APS and FESAC leadership activities and congressional testimony on fusion energy.
