"Or maybe your life is just a playlist that needed a few new tracks."

“Sometimes in life, you have to travel a long way to find out what is near”

I rely on 2-3 close friends. I listen to 3-4 songs on loop. I only have 6 go to people in my life. The point is pretty simple: I prefer being low-key, with no regrets, no complaints, no fancy demands. But little did I know that my life choices and career would be the opposite of this.

Two years ago, I had to choose between investment banking and marketing. My father urged me towards a creative career, but I chose the logical, lucrative, and stable path of investment banking/CFA. It was going well until a family event changed everything. The event required meticulous planning from start to finish. I had to manage everything: communication, coordination, and execution. It struck me, like a bolt of lightning on a clear day, that I was genuinely enjoying myself.

Amidst the chaos, I found a sense of fulfillment and joy that I hadn’t felt in year, like every other Aditi – 'meh thik thi pehle but khush bhi hosakti hu'. It reminded me of winning my first state-level art award at seven, when I thrived on creativity and design, Suddenly, all the dots started connecting. After the event, I realized my fascination with marketing was a long-buried passion. Marketing combined creativity, strategic thinking, and deep connections—everything I loved but had forgotten.

I started researching and stumbled upon Jio Institute, it was as if I had found the missing piece of a puzzle. I decided to take a leap of faith and pivot my career towards marketing. And ofcourse my father was right, 'sometimes in life, the journey back to yourself is the most rewarding- you've come full circle'. I applied for a marketing and here I am. Now I can finally say that 'I’m creating playlists for the world'.
