Call for Student Research Paper
Goals of the Competition
- Provide a low-barrier platform for students to present early-stage research ideas
- Encourage student participation and research dissemination
- Foster interaction between students, researchers, and industry professionals
- Recognize outstanding student research and communication
Submission Format
Participants must submit a 2-page paper (excluding references). Optional supplementary material may be included with no page limit.
Eligibility
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program
- One of the contributors to the submitted research
- Registered for IDEA 2026 and attending the conference
Review and Evaluation
Papers must be submitted electronically in PDF format through the IDEA 2026 Student Research Paper Competition submission system.
- Originality and significance of the research idea
- Technical soundness and clarity
- Quality of presentation and organization
- Effectiveness of communication
Accepted papers will be presented in a dedicated competition session at IDEA 2026.
Topics of Interest
Submissions should align broadly with the scope of IDEA 2026, including but not limited to:
- Intelligent data engineering and scalable systems
- Machine learning and deep learning
- Computer vision, natural language processing, and multimodal AI
- Ethical, fair, and responsible AI
- Emerging trends in AI and data science
Interdisciplinary and exploratory work is strongly encouraged.
Recognition
Outstanding submissions will receive awards and honorable mentions. All accepted participants will receive a certificate of participation.
